Common questions
Why does RYZR need Screen Time permission?
Blocking apps on iPhone is only possible through Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. RYZR asks for that permission so it can lock the apps you choose at the times you choose. Your selections are handled by Apple's system as opaque tokens: RYZR cannot read which specific apps you picked, and that information never leaves your device.
My alarm did not go off.
Check that RYZR still has notification and alarm permissions in Settings > RYZR, that your alarm is switched on for that day, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb is not silencing it. If the alarm is set correctly and still fails, email support with your iPhone model and iOS version so it can be investigated.
My apps are not being blocked.
Blocking needs the Screen Time permission to be granted (Settings > Screen Time > Apps with Screen Time Access). If permission was declined during onboarding, you can grant it there and reopen RYZR. Note that Apple does not allow any app to block phone calls or system settings.
How do I unlock early?
Complete the morning action you chose, or wait out the unlock time you set. If you would rather not use morning actions at all, you can keep the setup simple and unlock by time alone.
How does RYZR access work?
Eligible new users can try every RYZR feature for 7 days. No payment details are required, nothing renews automatically and there is no charge when the trial ends. Apple may show a £0 App Store confirmation when the trial starts. This lets RYZR verify that the trial is genuine; it does not create a paid subscription. After 7 days, app blocking, First Moves and evening wind-down pause. Your existing wake alarm remains scheduled for safety and can be disabled from the access screen. You can unlock RYZR permanently at any time with one lifetime purchase. The price shown in the app is your local App Store price. Lifetime access has no renewal or expiry.
Can I restart the trial by reinstalling RYZR?
No. The 7-day trial can only be claimed once on an eligible device. Deleting or reinstalling RYZR does not restart its 7-day clock. If you previously bought lifetime access, RYZR will try to recognise the purchase automatically after reinstalling. You can also use Restore purchase.
My lifetime purchase is not showing.
Open RYZR Settings and tap Restore purchase while signed into the Apple Account that made the purchase. If it still does not appear, email support with your RYZR version and build number, the type of purchase and its approximate date. Do not send your password, payment details or a full purchase receipt.
I previously bought a monthly or annual subscription. What happens?
Earlier versions of RYZR offered monthly and annual subscriptions. Any valid active subscription remains supported and can be restored in RYZR. To manage or cancel its future renewal, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions and select RYZR. Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not end access before the current paid period expires. Version 1.0.3 does not offer these subscriptions to new users.
Do I need an account?
No. RYZR has no accounts, no sign-up and no password. Your data lives on your iPhone.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. See the privacy policy for what limited anonymous information may have been collected before that, and how to ask about it.
