Common questions
What does GoNoGo help me do?
GoNoGo helps you check in before a workout, a difficult conversation or a big decision. Start with how you feel, then bring in available Apple Health readings to consider whether to go ahead, adjust your approach or pause. It can also offer practical preparation and a chance to check in again afterwards.
Which devices can I use?
GoNoGo is designed for iPhone and requires iOS 26 or later. A wearable is optional. To add wearable context, your device or its companion app needs to save supported readings to Apple Health on your iPhone.
Why do I answer questions before seeing the numbers?
Your own experience gets the first word. Checking in before you see the readings gives you a chance to notice how you feel without first being prompted by a number. GoNoGo then considers your answers alongside the available readings and what you are about to do.
What does GoNoGo read from Apple Health?
With your permission, GoNoGo reads sleep, heart rate, resting heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV), plus workouts and mindful sessions. Workouts and mindful sessions help it identify readings affected by exercise or breathing. It compares eligible readings with your own usual values and keeps different HRV methods separate. GoNoGo only reads Apple Health data; it does not write health records.
Can I use it without a wearable or Health permission?
Yes. Your answers can still support a provisional recommendation. GoNoGo makes missing or older readings clear. Missing data does not, by itself, mean that you are unwell or need to stop.
My sleep or heart readings are missing or look different.
First check that the readings have reached Apple Health and that GoNoGo has permission to read them. A wearable may need time to sync through its companion app. Different apps can select different sources, time windows and HRV methods, so their summaries may differ. In GoNoGo Settings, Reset and import today clears today’s local imported readings and reads them again. It leaves older readings, saved checks and the original Apple Health records unchanged.
How do I change Health permissions?
Open the Health app, tap your profile, then look under Apps or Apps and Services for Go / No Go. You can change which types of data it may read. Turning permission off stops future access to that type; it does not automatically erase readings already imported into GoNoGo.
How do reminders before calendar events work?
Reminders are optional. Turn them on in GoNoGo Settings, allow notifications and full calendar access, then choose which calendars to use and how far ahead to be reminded. Event details are read on your iPhone. Notifications show a time rather than the event name. You can change the calendars, turn reminders off or change permissions at any time.
Why did a calendar reminder not appear?
Check that reminders are switched on in GoNoGo, that the intended calendar is selected, and that iPhone Settings allows both notifications and full calendar access. Reminders are silent and respect Focus and Scheduled Summary. The app limits how many it sends and can pause reminders after several go unopened. iOS controls background refresh, so changes made shortly before an event may not be reflected in time.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
There is no GoNoGo account or sign-up. Check-ins, imported health readings and preparation run on your iPhone without a GoNoGo server. Your wearable or calendar provider may need a connection to sync its own data. Opening a website, signing up for the beta or emailing support uses the service you choose.
How do I delete my checks or share one?
Open Settings, then Recent checks. You can delete a check or use Delete all checks and notes. A check export can contain your answers, advice and health readings, so review it before choosing where to share it. Private saved notes are excluded. Deleting a check does not erase original Apple Health records, all imported health history, or copies you have already exported. To remove the app’s local data, delete the app rather than offloading it.
Can GoNoGo tell me whether an activity is medically safe?
No. GoNoGo is a wellbeing tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat conditions, provide medical clearance or certify that an activity is safe. If you are worried about your health, speak with a doctor or pharmacist. Seek urgent local medical help if you feel very unwell, and call your local emergency number in an emergency.
Still need help?
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, GoNoGo version and build number, what you were doing and any error message. You can find the app version in Settings under About. For an import problem, mention the wearable or source app and the date affected.
Please do not send health records, private notes, calendar details or a full check export unless you choose to share them for a specific support question. Review screenshots and files before sending.

Website measurement
I count clicks on download links for my apps to understand which pages help people find the app. Each event contains only a fixed campaign name; Cloudflare adds the event time. This counter sets no cookies and stores no IP address, referrer, device identifier or personal content. Counts are best effort and may be sampled. They are not unique people or installs. The browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable these click events. Cloudflare also processes requests to host and protect this website. Separate Cloudflare Web Analytics excludes EU visitors. Cloudflare privacy information.
