Common questions
What can I turn into a dood?
Start with a doodle you are entitled to use: a single character or a whole scene. Take a clear photo in good light, or select an existing image from Photos, then crop and straighten it. Avoid names, school details and other personal information in the image.
Is this a doodle app or a video editor?
doods transforms an existing doodle into an AI-generated image. You can then add a five-second animation. It does not provide a doodle canvas, long-video editing, printed artwork books or a standalone bulk-scanning archive.
Why does the result look different from the doodle?
AI generation interprets the source and may change shapes, colours or details. Results are not guaranteed to preserve every feature. The original remains with the saved creation so you can look at them together.
Does generation need the internet?
Yes, cloud image and video generation need an internet connection. The app requires iOS 27 or later. Optional Apple Intelligence and Image Playground features also depend on device, language and system availability.
A creation was interrupted. What should I do?
Reopen doods and look for Unfinished creations. Use Check and import to recover a completed result, or check a pending video from its creation. Recovery is available for seven days from the server request. Avoid deleting the app while a request is unfinished: this can remove the local information needed to recover it.
How do purchases work?
Little Keepsakes, Keepsake Collection and Animation Pack are one-time App Store purchases. Images and animations have separate allowances; available quantities and local prices are shown in the app before purchase. If you already have a legacy doods Club subscription, its existing entitlement remains available to you.
How do I manage a legacy subscription?
If you have a legacy doods Club subscription, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and select doods. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. One-time packs are not subscriptions.
A purchase or allowance is missing.
Check your connection and reopen the app. Include your app version, purchase date and any error message when contacting support. Never send your Apple Account password or payment-card details. Avoid reinstalling as a first troubleshooting step because saved creations are stored locally.
Are doodles uploaded or shared automatically?
Choosing cloud generation sends the source image and prompt to the generation services. Your collection is stored on your device and is not a public gallery. Sharing to family or another app is your choice. The privacy page explains generation storage and service providers.
Can I delete a creation?
Yes. Open the saved dood and choose Delete dood. This removes it from the local collection, but does not immediately erase server recovery records, provider copies or images you have already shared or exported. Contact support for a request concerning server-held data.
Help me understand what happened
Include your device model, iOS version, doods version, what you were doing and the exact error message. If you have a feedback reference, include that too. Please leave children’s names and identifying details out of your message and screenshots.

Website measurement
I count clicks on download links for my apps to understand which pages help people find the app. Each event contains only a fixed campaign name; Cloudflare adds the event time. This counter sets no cookies and stores no IP address, referrer, device identifier or personal content. Counts are best effort and may be sampled. They are not unique people or installs. The browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable these click events. Cloudflare also processes requests to host and protect this website.
