Common questions
What can I turn into an Oddling?
Start with a drawing you are entitled to use: a single character or a whole scene. Take a clear photo in good light, or select an existing image from Photos, then crop and straighten it. Avoid names, school details and other personal information in the image.
Is this a drawing app or a video editor?
Oddlings transforms an existing drawing into an AI-generated image. You can then add a five-second animation. It does not provide a drawing canvas, long-video editing, printed artwork books or a standalone bulk-scanning archive.
Why does the result look different from the drawing?
AI generation interprets the source and may change shapes, colours or details. Results are not guaranteed to preserve every feature. The original remains with the saved creation so you can look at them together.
Does generation need the internet?
Yes, cloud image and video generation need an internet connection. The development app targets iOS 27 or later. Optional Apple Intelligence and Image Playground features also depend on device, language and system availability. Check the requirements supplied with your test build.
A creation was interrupted. What should I do?
Reopen Oddlings and look for Unfinished creations. Use Check and import to recover a completed result, or check a pending video from its creation. Recovery is available for seven days from the server request. Avoid deleting the app while a request is unfinished: this can remove the local information needed to recover it.
How do purchases work?
Images and moving Oddlings have separate allowances. Where offered, Oddlings Club renews monthly and Extra Magic is a one-time purchase. Available free creations, quantities and local prices are shown in the app. Development and TestFlight purchase behaviour can differ from the public release.
How do I cancel a subscription?
For a paid App Store subscription, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions and select Oddlings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. A one-time Extra Magic purchase is not a subscription.
A purchase or allowance is missing.
Check your connection and reopen the app. Include your app version, purchase date and any error message when contacting support. Never send your Apple Account password or payment-card details. Avoid reinstalling as a first troubleshooting step because saved creations are stored locally.
Are drawings uploaded or shared automatically?
Choosing cloud generation sends the source image and prompt to the generation services. Your collection is stored on your device and is not a public gallery. Sharing to family or another app is your choice. The privacy page explains generation storage and service providers.
Can I delete a creation?
Yes. Open the saved Oddling and choose Delete Oddling. This removes it from the local collection, but does not immediately erase server recovery records, provider copies or images you have already shared or exported. Contact support for a request concerning server-held data.

Include your device model, iOS version, Oddlings version, what you were doing and the exact error message. If you have a feedback reference, include that too. Please leave children’s names and identifying details out of your message and screenshots.
